Sustainably Managing Groundwater
The Ukiah Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) is a public agency formed to sustainably manage groundwater in the Ukiah Valley groundwater basin.
The Ukiah Valley Groundwater Sustainability Agency will continue to collaboratively and transparently work
with a range of local and regional groundwater users and Tribal partners to achieve and maintain sustainable,
effective, and resilient groundwater conditions in the Ukiah Valley Basin, consistent with the Sustainable
Groundwater Management Act and the Basin’s Groundwater Sustainability Plan, with fair and equitable
consideration to all beneficial groundwater uses and users.
The Ukiah Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) was created by a Joint Powers Agreement to serve as the official Groundwater Sustainability Agency for the Ukiah Valley Basin required by the Sustainable Groundwater Management (SGMA) Act of 2014.
